12th Annual Keep It Local Art and Pottery Show

 Come on out to the 12th Annual Keep It Local Art and Pottery Show!

Come see 17 local artists and vendors Saturday April 28th from 10-4 at 2409 Oak Ridge Rd. Oak Ridge, NC. This year from 11-2 we will have the 3rd annual Art Hunt. For 6 cans of food you can hunt for a piece of original art or pottery. Also, Patches the Llama will make an appearance at the beginning of the show. We can't wait to see you there!

Spring Schedule

Spring has sprung and my schedule is packed!
Here is a couple of places that you can find me in the next couple of weeks:

April 22 - The 15th Annual triad Area Pottery Festival. 11 to 5. Greensboro Farmers Curb Market.

April 28 - 12th Annual Keep It Local Art and Pottery Show. Saturday 10-4. 2409 Oak Ridge Rd. Oak Ridge.

May 4th - The Colors of  Sgraffito.  3105 Devine Street . Columbia, SC 803.251.3001 May 4th- June 8th.
I will be demonstrating  during the opening Friday the 4th.

May 12th-13th - Dunwoody Art Festival. Dunwoody, GA

Skull painting.........

Took an old painting and sketched/painted this little skull out. I am enamored of her hair do and crown.....she has a mate wearing a top hat but he isn't done yet....
Still working on the linoleum cuts.........posting them late today or tomorrow. Happy thursday everyone!

Here is the latest rooster painting. I haven't worked the kinks out of the surprise I promised for last week...but it is coming.....soon!  Until then......have a great Monday people!

I have been working on a new technique with my linoleum cuts. They aren't good enough to share yet but I am hoping next week I will have one or two that I like. Here is the artist poof of the latest cut.

Obsessiveness is a feature of my personality that I treasure and a feature that I some times hate. In my work, it can be a great benefit to be so focused on one idea. I haven't figured out yet if my skull fascination is a benefit, so to say, but I am obsessively having a great time.......

Happiest of days everyone......

Here it is. The time has come around again for family and friends to get together and celebrate. Celebrate love.....to wish for peace on Earth........to pray for those who are suffering......to dream of the future......to live with great gusto for a few precious days. This year Captain Will, Frieda and I send so much love to you and ask that you send love back out to those in the world who are in need. Let us make the world shine this year.
